Lorac Croc Eye/Cheek Palette (Review + Swatches)

You know how I feel about the Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes. Literally, they’re all I’ve used since getting my hands on them. I haven’t had any real desire to experiment with any other eyeshadow palettes, but when Hautelook featured a sale on Lorac cosmetics a few weeks ago, I couldn’t pass up a great deal. The Lorac Croc Eye/Cheek Palette arrived at my door a couple of days ago and I couldn’t wait to give it a test drive.

The first thing I noticed about the palette is the cute case, which like the name states, resembles crocodile. The four eyeshadows are relatively neutral colors that would work well with most complexions. Three of the colors have a slight shimmer, just the right amount for versatility to wear day or night.

The only part of the palette that I have an issue with is the blush, which I think is too dark for my complexion. It is very pigmented and difficult to blend if you have a fair(ish) complexion.

Overall, the Lorac Croc Eye/Cheek Palette is a nice collection of versatile eyeshadows. I really like the two lighter shades, Moonstone and Serenity. The colors blended easily and did not collect in the crease of my eyelid after a full day of wear. But the Naked 2 palette still holds the number one spot on my favorites list.

If you are in the market for new eyeshadow and think the Lorac Croc Eye/Cheek Palette may be a good fit, the price for this palette has dropped from $36 to $18 on both the Lorac website and at Sephora.

I just received this palette from Hautelook today and only paid $8.00 for it!!! I can’t believe how pigmented the shadows and blush are either! I do believe when I can I will be getting the Lorac Pro palette because how pigmented and buttery smooth their shadows are. I can’t wait to play with the palette tomorrow!!!

Hi Latoya! Thanks so much for the comment – I’d love to hear what you think of the palette, as well as the pro palette!
