I have to admit that the first time I tried CND Shellac in Silver VIP Status, a “sheer diamond shimmer effect,” it was slightly too sparkly for my personal taste. I decided to give it another try this weekend. (Everything deserves more than one try, right?) I’m really glad that I did! In the picture above you are seeing one coat of CND Shellac Cocoa (one of my favorites), layered with one coat of Silver VIP Status. The result is a beautiful sandy shade with a hint of sparkle. It seems that layering Silver VIP Status over a darker shade mutes the sparkles down to a more sensible shade. I really love this combo! I think it would be a great option for vacation. Thoughts?

That’s a really good suggestion, Melinda – do you recommend a certain one? I currently have the rose shimmer, spectrum shimmer, and antique shimmer. The additives are so fun!
