Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil (Review)

In recent years it’s been practically impossible to not come across products and articles touting the benefits of products like Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil. While it seems like some women cannot live without these products, I had only tried Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil, until recently.

Enter Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil, designed to:

Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil infused with Grapeseed Oil and Essential Oils is the perfect solution for healthy hair and skin. This miracle golden Organic Argan Oil helps soothe and soften both dry and frizzy hair and trouble skin. Maijan’s secret blend of the Organic Argan Oil infused with Grapeseed and essential oils gives your hair and skin a sense of pure luxury like none other. (Source)

Since Maijan oil is designed to be used on both hair and skin, read on for details about my experience and outcomes using this product in each area.

Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil – Skincare Experience

I have used the oil nightly, massaging it into my elbows, knees, feet and cuticles. The oil absorbs pretty quickly, and a little goes a long way. The oil is great for dry skin and cuticles, and has helped to maintain the appearance of my manicures and pedicures quite a bit.

I have not used the oil on my face, but only because my skin tends to fall on the combination/oily side. If you have used this product on your face, please share your experience in the comments.

Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil – Hair Experience

Designed to provide moisture and nourishment if you have a dry or itchy scalp, and to moisturize damaged or frizzy hair. Fortunately, my hair is pretty healthy, but I still decided to give the Maijan oil a try as a leave-in serum for my review. The outcome? Yes, my hair gained a silkier, shinier appearance and the ends appeared healthier and soft. However, using the Maijan oil for haircare is not for me. My mostly straight and normal hair felt a bit weighed down, and I don’t like the oily feeling. (I try to get as many days out of a shampoo and blowout as possible.)

However, if  you have thick, dry, coarse, or curly hair – the Maijan oil may be perfect for you. It’s definitely worth trying if you struggle with scalp issues or damaged and dry hair.

The Bottom Line

If you’re interested in trying Maijan Pure Moroccan Argan Oil for yourself, you can purchase it here (regular price $49; sale price $25).
