Last week when I shared the great Lancôme gift with purchase deal at Macy’s, I mentioned that I picked up some powder to qualify for the gift. I ended up leaving with Lancôme’s Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup ($36.50).
Since it is still summer, I had switched from using Chanel Perfection Lumière liquid foundation to Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream (see the review here).
Since I have a *terrible* track record when it comes to selecting foundation shades, I gladly let the Lancôme sales representative take charge. I ended up with the shade Matte Neutrale II (one of 26 shades – which is both overwhelming and awesome at the same time).
I’m thrilled to report that she picked a perfect match! Whether I use Lancôme Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup alone or over the Smashbox BB Cream, I’m pleased with the outcome. Today I experimented with using the Lancôme powder over just a primer (Smashbox is my favorite) with a dampened sponge, and again, I’m pleased with the result. Lancôme was NOT kidding when they decided to include the word “versatile” in this product’s name – which is a big part of why I’m rating this foundation so highly.
Here is a complete breakdown of my likes and dislikes for the Lancôme Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup.
