Sally Hansen Insta-Gel Strips

I’m approaching my second year anniversary of making the switch to an at-home DIY gal when it comes to my nails. So when I learned about Sally Hansen’s new Insta-Gel Strips, it was destiny that I test-drive the kit to share with you. Designed for women on the go to achieve a salon gel manicure with ease, and without the hassle (and high cost) of going to a salon, Sally Hansen’s Salon Insta-Gel Strips are an “easy 2 step gel manicure in a strip with no dry time & that removes easily with acetone polish remover.”

I’ve used the kit with three different patterns of Insta-Gel Strips, and I have to say, I’m impressed! It doesn’t take long to get a hang of the application, it really is quite easy to create flawless looking polished-nails. Thanks to the mini LED light, the cure time is super fast – just 30 seconds per nail. I also love that the LED light is so tiny, it’s perfect for travel.

As with all manicures, the most important step in my opinion is the prep. After all, your nails are the canvas. I carefully filed my nails and checked for snags prior to application. Also, I worked on my cuticles for a while. This is really important to achieve a long-lasting manicure.

*Important Tip: When applying the top coat, polish a thin layer and be sure to cap the free edge. This will seal your nail app and ensure a long-lasting manicure.

Sally Hansen’s Salon Insta-Gel Strips™ is a breakthrough, 2 step chip-resistant gel manicure that lasts up to 2 weeks. Exclusive to Sally Hansen, you can get a fast and easy gel manicure in 2 Easy Steps! Just simply peel and apply.  The gel top coat provides a durable manicure and nails appear flawless and shiny for up to 2 weeks.  The UV-cured real nail polish appliqués that are nourished with additives such as Vitamin E and they are removed with Acetone polish remover in 5 minutes.
