Flight-Friendly Beauty

Having just returned from a quick trip to visit with friends and family, I thought it would be a great opportunity to share with you some of my currently beauty favorites for travel. Traveling always offers a great time to experiment with new products since you only need a small amount to get you through a long weekend. For this trip I brought along some old favorites, and a handful of first-timers as well.

Skincare: Bioelements Travel Light for Combination Skin ($35)

This $35 kit is great if you are considering switching skin care lines, but you’re not ready to fully commit. Included in the kit are “preview” sizes of the Decongestant Cleanser, Equalizer (toner), Absolute Moisture, Pumice Peel, and Oil Control Sleepwear (my favorite nighttime moisturizer).

Haircare: Fekkai Advanced Travel Faves Brilliant Glossing ($43)

This Fekkai travel kit is definitely a splurge, but a worthy one to say the least. I have tried (and love) Fekkai’s glossing line. The fragrance is delicious and the shampoo, conditioner and serum provide serious smoothing and shine power. The Sheer Hold Hairspray is new to my beauty collection, and it doesn’t disappoint. Yes, the price on this travel kit is up there, but every once in a while a splurge here or there is completely acceptable, and even healthy. :)

Hairstyling: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Touchable Weightless Hairspray (price varies)

Always lured to hairspray like a moth to light, I picked up a travel size of this hairspray for our trip. I love light to medium hold when it comes to hairspray, and this is a great option for a lighter hold. (I was unable to find a link to the travel size version, apologies).

Bioelements Kerafole Purge – Favorite New Skincare Solution

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve tried a myriad of skincare lines from the über high-end (Sisley) to bargain beauty (Oil of Olay). After much experimentation, I’ve come to the conclusion that Bioelements is my preferred brand. With prices ranging from $20-$70, Bioelements products are widely used by estheticians in spas, which speaks to its quality. (Check out this past Curls N Pearls post for some of my favorites.)

Since I recently picked up a super magnification mirror to aid tweezing my brows, I’ve realized that I have a small army of blackheads between my eyes and on my chin. Gross, right? As embarrassing as that is for me to admit on my blog, it’s an important detail to note for this review.

Here is what Bioelements has to say of Kerafole Purge($48):

  • FREE 2-week trial size Stress Solution Stress Solution worth $15!
  • Intensive deep purging at-home face mask treatment
  • Uncovers revitalized, clear, glowing skin
  • Plus a post-mask soothing protective serum

Sounds pretty fantastic, right?
