OPI Releases When Monkeys Fly!: Limited Edition Confetti Lacquer Inspired by Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful

OPI invites consumers to paint on a little magic with When Monkeys Fly!, a new gold metallic confetti nail lacquer inspired by Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful. When Monkeys Fly! combines the mystical elements of Disney’s film with OPI’s glitz and glamour to create a playful hue for fans of all ages.

“The name says it all! This shade is as unique and mischievous as the ‘flying monkeys’ themselves,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Leave your ruby slippers at home; the new glam look is all about sparkly nails packed with gold iridescent confetti and holographic glitter!”

The newest SoftShades collection features seven limited edition nail lacquers including When Monkeys Fly!, Lights of Emerald City, Don’t Burst My Bubble, Glints of Glinda, I Theodora You, and Which is Witch? Also introduced is a new Liquid Sand™ shade created for Oz himself: What Wizardry is This?, a beautiful taupe with gold sparkle.

Essie has jumped on the nail appliqué band wagon, debuting Sleek Sticks. Making nail art easy for anyone to accomplish, Essie’s Sleek Sticks are decorative nail decals. The collection features twelve designs. I’m partial to Over the Moon and Stickers and Stones. What about you?

Unfortunately, Essie hasn’t shared much information about the Sleek Sticks or how to use them on their website (that I can find, any way). A few questions I have:

Are they made of real nail polish (like the OPI Pure Lacquer Nail Apps)?
Once you open the package, will they dry out if not used within a certain period?
Can they be used under a UV gel?
What’s the average wear time?
Exactly how are they applied?
Are there any special instructions for removal?

I’m sure most of this information is available on the packaging, but it’d be great if it was available on the Essie website for potential buyers.
