New from OPI – Pure Lacquer Nail Apps (Review w/ Photos)

It took no time at all for me to decide that OPI’s new Pure Lacquer Nail Apps are AWESOME. The precut nail strips made of 100% real nail lacquer – “providing a high-gloss finish, long-lasting wear and zero dry time.”

They are truly very easy to apply, allowing anyone to create impressively professional looking nail art at home, in just a few minutes. According to OPI,

For best results, this product should not be finished with top coat. Simply remove with an acetone polish remover like OPI Expert Touch Lacquer Remover before trying a new design.

Each pack contains 16 strips of various sizes, allowing you to match the precut strips to each nail. I prefer to sport nail art only on my ring fingers (just a personal preference), so one pack will go a long way for me.

The affordable price, ease of application, and flawless results make the OPI nail apps a true winner in my book.

OPI Pure Lacquer Nail Apps are available at OPI.com, ULTA Beauty, and various professional salons for the suggested retail price of $11.95.

Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil [REVIEW]

I’ve always been fascinated by the undeniable power of scent to bring us back to a particular memory. One of my favorite examples is Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner, the delicious fragrance always culls memories from a childhood vacation to the Florida panhandle simply because it was the first place I used it.

I’ve long been a fan of Redken shampoos and conditioners and with my last purchase I also picked up a bottle of All Soft Argan-6 Oil (approximately $20, price varies). Argan-6 Oil can be used on damp or dry hair and Redken states that it “envelops hair in concentrated softness, nourishment and protection” to “dramatically improve the texture of dry, brittle hair.”

I wouldn’t call my hair dry or brittle. But I do highlight my hair, so I also wouldn’t say that my hair has the silky texture of ‘virgin’ hair which is why I’m a fan of smoothing serums.  Equally important to me is volume, which is why light-weight Argan-6 Oil is a winner in my book. That being said, Argan-6 Oil may be too heavy for super fine hair. I have medium hair and one pump works perfectly for me, creating soft hair with brilliant shine without sacrificing volume.

Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil may be a great fit for you if:

  • You have color-treated, dry or coarse hair
  • You want to diminish the appearance of split ends
  • You hate flyaway hair and frizz
  • You value softness and shine
  • You don’t have super fine or limp hair
