Shellac Sweet Dreams Collection Spring March 2013

I have to say,  I am so excited for the March 2013 release of the Shellac Sweet Dreams Collection, set to join the CND Shellac lineup. These springy, bright pastels are make up the Sweet Dreams Collection, set to become available in March 2013. I cannot wait to get my paws on the gorgeous shades! I’m a huge fan of layering to create new color combos with CND Shellac, so the Sweet Dreams Collection will definitely help to create some fun new options.

What are your thoughts on the Spring 2013 shades? Which are you most excited to try? I think Grapefruit Sparkle and Azure Wish are topping my list.

CND Shellac Limited Edition Holiday Shade Swatches! Ruby Ritz and Tinsel Toast

As promised, I’m delighted to share with you swatches of the CND Shellac 2012 Limited Edition Holiday Shades: Ruby Ritz and Tinsel Toast. Ruby Ritz is the perfect name for the super sparkly red shade. My nails literally looked like Dorothy’s ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz. Tinsel Toast is equally sparkly and pretty, but I think my skin tone just isn’t right for this shade.

It may be fun to use Ruby Ritz  on eight nails, and then use Tinsel Toast on your ring fingers only.

What do you think of this limited edition holiday duo?

Mani Monday: CND Shellac + Additives (post 1 of 2)

Fall is in the air and I’ve been itching to try something different with my nails. If you’ve spent any time on Curls N Pearls it doesn’t take long to see that I’m a  big fan of CND Shellac. CND currently has thirty to forty available shades in Shellac, and with layering you can create a myriad of color combinations. (Which I’ve probably tried everyone over the past year or so!)

I love nail art, and especially the glitter fade or “ombre” effects (see here), so upon learning about CND Additives, I couldn’t wait to experiment. The only trouble was I couldn’t make up my mind on which to actually wear! So I don’t have a pic of my nails for Mani Monday this week, but I do have six swatches of CND Shellac shades accented with a glitter fade of CND Additives Effect in Pink Gold Sparkle.

I’m partial to Fedora, Decadence and Rubble, do any of these combos catch your eye?

Check back tomorrow for part two of the CND Additives Mani Monday!
